THE GENESIS
From Portugal to Colombia
This interactive workshop was first conducted in Portugal in 2016 when virtual reality was still very confined to specialized research laboratories.
By using the Google Cardboard, paper and pencil, and storyboards, participants learned the basic concepts of head-mounted displays and game engines using the CoSpaces software tool.
Since then, RealVILab has conducted this introductory activity in more than 4 countries including USA, Canada, Colombia and the Czech Republic.

Dive into the future of gaming with our VR Game Design Club! Over an exciting 10-week journey, we uncovered the secrets of VR game design from crafting compelling narratives to modeling stunning 3D worlds.
We had a selective club of 9 game designers coming to the MUSEUM in Kitchener Canada in the fall of 2023 every week to learn fundamental concepts of game design and then use the skills to create their own immersive experience.
